In the Art Room - Christmas Trains
This one didn't turn out quite like I had planned. I had hoped to go more into perspective, but my third grades were more excited about adding little Christmas details to their trains. Maybe I'll get there next time!

In the Art Room - Tangled Lights
This was a fun one for my second graders. They started on one side of the page and drew a long, loopy line to the other side. Then they added lights along the line. Once the lights were drawn on, they had to carefully add a color pattern making sure not to get lost in the tangles!

In the Art Room - Easy Advent Wreath
Here's a quick one from my fifth graders that was easily completed in 45 minutes. After discussing the many ways the Advent wreath symbolizes God and the Christmas season, the kids used construction paper crayons on black paper to draw their wreaths.

In the Art Room - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but if I don't get some Christmas themed projects done now, they'll never get done before winter break! So here's one for my 6th grades. A simple project that they all seemed to enjoy. Draw a closeup of an evergreen tree branch and add a favorite Christmas decoration or special family ornament to it. Easy to finish in two class periods!
